I love the early hours of Sunday. Perhaps it's because in these Sunday morning hours, the world is still so quiet, and my thoughts can wander freely, completely detached from external influences.
What a thick fog today...
My thoughts cannot be stopped by a thick fog. I can barely see the dog, who is walking only 4 meters in front of me. When you have a dog, you're out in all weather. Fog, cold, rain, snow – it doesn't matter. So this morning, as I immersed myself in this galactically thick fog, I was able to perceive different feelings.
I almost "lost myself" in the fog
For example, the feeling of being afraid in the fog. Many people are afraid of fog. Admittedly, I used to be afraid too, although I couldn't precisely define why. A creeping, incomprehensible fear of something. I can't see the "danger" because the fog obstructs my clear view of it.
An inner fog can also hinder my inner clarity and order
I almost wanted to shout into the fog: Hey! Is anyone there in the fog? Are you friend or foe?
Is it the same for us with "inner clarity"? Don't we sometimes walk through life in an "inner fog"? Often we have diffuse fears. Especially about what could happen to us, what could be done to us, what terrible things could befall us.
In my head, I remain in the subjunctive "could," because nothing of all that my mind concocts has yet come to pass. My brain is just telling a story, for example:
-
Uncertainty: I don't know what's coming my way.
-
Anxious thoughts: If something bad for me is hidden in the fog - what worse thing could be behind the fog?
-
Stagnation: I'd better just stand still and wait for the fog to clear by itself.
Without a conscious decision to have complete clarity about myself, I remain trapped in my inner fog.
Against undefined fears, often the only thing that helps is to consciously choose life and against fears. At some point, we empowered our minds to constantly dredge up old things. They contain old experiences, and these can literally hinder progress in life if we give them space in our minds and constantly listen to them.
This is how you walk your path in life with lightness and inner peace.
I have experienced this firsthand. It was quite a bit of work. But I have shed my various diffuse fears. Not just like that. But it was worth it. Why did I want it so badly? At some point, I began to feel that I was being tossed around by my diffuse fears - sometimes afraid of this, sometimes of that. If something was in the newspaper, I imagined I had to be afraid of it from then on. Eventually, I got tired of it and realized that all these diffuse fears were literally hindering me from living.
Today, I am clear that my brain alone produced this fog – this unclearness and these fears.
The subconscious controls 96-98% of our thoughts and actions.
Wow – what a statement. It's not what we assume will happen with our "day-to-day consciousness" that happens. No, our subconscious controls most of our thoughts and, consequently, our resulting actions.
Our subconscious is so much stronger than our conscious mind. We need to be "clear" about that.
Well? – is it time for you to check who the "decider" is within you?
In any case, I asked myself:
-
Am I stuck in an "inner fog" with many of my thoughts?
-
Am I clear about who "produces" my fears internally?
Actually, our brain only wants the best for us...
... and basically that's true. But it's also a fact that our brain is a few steps behind evolution. Let's say our brain is still stuck in the Stone Age. However, in our normal daily lives today, there isn't a saber-toothed tiger around every corner that we have to be afraid of, and that our brain alerts us to with an inner alarm: Watch out – caution – be vigilant – something could happen any moment…
Do these alarm states sound familiar to you?
Originally, the word "alarm" comes from French. "Aux Armes" became "Alarm" over time and means "to arms." So, every time we feel an inner alarm, we call ourselves "to arms." We activate our tried and tested inner weapons: armor on, visor down, and with that, we slide into the same old actions (often practiced since childhood) and remain in the same thought spiral.
Please don't get stuck in the fog of uncertainty.
Decide to clear things up within yourself. You will find that it lightens your heart, that you can easily shed the old and obsolete, and that you will become clearer about your further path in life.
And my experience is: when I decided to leave my "inner fog," strength and courage returned to me and became my truly authentic companions.
