Cocoa Questions
- Heat 2dl of water or plant-based milk, just enough so that it reaches the right drinking temperature for you and the cocoa dissolves easily. (Not above 60-70 °C).
- Depending on your taste and preference, add spices such as cinnamon, vanilla, chili, cardamom, or cloves. A pinch of good salt should always be at hand.
- Add 20g - 35g of finely crushed raw cocoa to your mixture and let it melt.
- Stir with a wooden spoon and check if you need any sweetness.

Ceremonial cacao is fundamentally different from the ordinary cocoa powder known in our latitudes.
At Ritualmanufaktur, we source our cacao from small-scale farming partners who cultivate it in sustainable mixed cultures and process it traditionally.
Thanks to the particularly gentle roasting process, valuable vitamins and minerals are preserved – unlike industrially processed cacao, which is often roasted at significantly higher temperatures. Thus, ceremonial cacao retains its original power and effect.
With its naturally high content of theobromine – a gently stimulating, caffeine-like substance – it can both awaken and clarify, as well as open the heart. A powerful plant medicine gift that supports you in a mindful way.
For Ritualmanufaktur, not only the quality of the cacao is central, but also the connection to its origin. Every cup allows you to feel what the Maya and Aztecs have honored for millennia: cacao as a sacred plant, as a companion in rituals, and as true "food of the gods."
Absolutely - YES! We have many customers who have swapped their morning coffee for cocoa and are big advocates for the positive changes they have experienced as a result.
That always varies greatly. For daily consumption, a 500g bag lasts approximately 15-22 days.
If you only use our cocoa for a weekly ceremonial break, it can last for several months.

Cocoa contains theobromine, which is stimulating for humans – but unfortunately toxic for dogs and cats!
Even small amounts can be very dangerous for animals. Please always make sure your cocoa is stored safely and always out of their reach.
Our cocoa is rarely in stock for longer than 3-6 weeks. Therefore, it always reaches you fresh and vital. Stored properly, in a dry, airtight, and dark place, it can easily last up to two years.
Melted cocoa will not experience a loss of quality, but it will naturally lose its attractive appearance.
Unfortunately, there is a risk of this happening, especially in warm weather, when the outside temperature is 25 °C or higher.
If you then store the cocoa in a cool place again, you can enjoy it without any concerns.
Our cocoa is PURE.
No sugar or anything else is added to it.
Naturally, cocoa also contains little
fructose. Each variety is different here. Please therefore check the nutrients of your selection carefully.
In principle, diabetics can use our cocoa pure without any problems.
